A chronicle of therapy dog Scout, aka GCH MyTy Rainbow Suntory Scout. Scout came to us when her breeder, Pat Collier, died. We were co-breeders and we finished a grand championship on her along with a group placement.
My wife "Ava" and I first moved to North Carolina in 2006. Ava wanted a new dog. She had lived in apartments before we got married, but we now had a yard for a dog. My wife did her research and she decided on a Lhasa Apso.
My best friend for decades, Betty Chidley, was a woman of enormous love for the breed of Lhasas. And her love and exuberance of the breed did not stop at the conformation ring. She found new ways to share the wonders of our breed through therapy work.
